I was discussing this issue with a few people and we decided to test out whether or not Back Stab took in to account whether you were duel wielding or not. It appears that the code does not look at whether you duel wield. I was curious whether anyone else thinks that if you are duel wielding it should make it more likely for you to hit or if it should add to the amount of damage if you do hit or both? I was thinking it should at least add to the likely hood of you hitting. I mean if you are skilled and using two weapons you should be twice as likely to land a hit and if you hit with both sheesh it should do a lot more damage. Just a thought.
Backstabbing isn't a two weapon maneuver. It's a quick, stealthy stab with one hand. The idea of doing it with two weapons strikes me as awkward. I suppose it could be done, but it doesn't seem natural to me.
I think backstabbing with primary hand and then fighting with both hands makes plenty of sense.
Why not stab with 2 hands? The only difference with backstab from a regular hit is that the opponent is supposedly does not see you and you have a chance of dealing much greater damage.
Why couldn't one stab someone in the back stealthy with two weapons? That's just a strange statement. Seems to me if someone is skilled enough they could back stab with two weapons effectively. How is it a single weapon only skill? If that is the concept then one should not be able to back stab with a sword either.

Just seems like an awkward maneuver. Certainly, I've never heard of such a thing. I'm not saying it couldn't be done, it just seems like a less stealthy, quick maneuver. Conceptually, it seems more of a "first strike" rather than a "backstab." If you see those two things as the same, then I'd better understand your issue, but I don't see them as the same, conceptually.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of "backstabbing" with a sword, but I can see that a little bit more easily than backstabbing with two weapons.

The way *I* see backstabbing is not simply striking them in the back. That would be the attacks you get as somebody leaves a room.
A backstab is a precise attack designed to inflict maximum damage. You can't really do TWO precise shots at the same time, at least it would be a completely different maneuver.
I actually picture backstab as a two hands on one dagger for maximum penetration. But if you can do it with another dagger in your hand or a shield in the other it makes the mechanics a lot easier.

Though, you should get a bonus if invisible or hding in the shadows successfully when BS'ing. I am not sure if you do now or not, I never really paid attention to it.
