Soft caps mess up using a certain % to inscribe with. For example, Xen mora's soft cap is 100, the hard cap is 150. "use X inscribe xen mora at weapon" works fine as long as X is 1 - 100. But for inscribing at 101-150 skill the part over 100 has to be halved... "use 120 inscribe xen mora" to inscribe using 140% skill for example. Confusing and annoying.
