To emulate full realism players must now use the following commands:
inhale
exhale

Or maybe not.
I agree. Making breathing involuntary robs me of choosing for my character. Maybe my character breathes more slowly. Or doesn't breathe at all, until he/she goes unconscious. Why should the system decide that for me?
