Off the top of my head:
- Temporary AEs in a room. Sortof a room scryguard, useful for looting and not getting busted. Obviously would not be as effective as a regular one but would take very little time to throw up. Perhaps it could start as a *2 (so it's quick to break but still gives some warning on the weakening) and has a duration of let's say... 5 min per *.
-More distance beneficial spells or some ability or item (or set of items) that allow for this. Currently the only real benefitial distance spell is distance heal. What if you could exchange some sort of device (be it a ring, or item held) that allowed somebody to cast spells on you through that thing but at a greatly increased mp cost? So the paladin can keep their friend spelled up from inside the castle room, but has to blow away 10x mp or has an increased casting time.. or some similar penalty
-Willful resist fails. The ability to turn off, or lessen your ability to resist spells. Especially useful for enlarge, or trying to get a lower level player to save you when lost. Could also have some RP implications.
-Undeads based on the creature that you kill and animate. Kill an ent and you get an undead ent, kill a player and you get an animated version of said player. Possibly with particular skills being passed on (I'm thinking mostly combat, but other skills might be neat too).
-Pets with real weapons.
