I was thinking some sort of active thing would have to take place to make it happen.

I have a bunch of strange ideas though. Here's another and I don't know how possible it would be.

Have the option of slowing down combat (well everything) in a party situation. This would allow for things such a healing in a group battle and being able to communicate a bit more than "I'm gonna die" when teaming up for an incredibly hard mob.

It would allow the cleric or healer time to watch the party health and cast on the appropriate person. The casting would also be slowed down accordingly but currently if somebody wants to heal in a group situation they have to mindlessly spam in hopes that they're healing the right person in time.
