-=-The High Enchanter of Marghuul-=-
Garkin waited within the Guild of the Chaotic Lords. He was completely at
ease here, within this temple dedicated to Marghuul.. After last eve's
encounter with the meddling paladin Torque, he felt safer here than he did
in his own guild. Only a few hours ago he had used his magics (with the
help of Marghuul) to summon his staff back to him. Torque was wrong about
the staff being the source of his recent change, however he wasn't too far
off. Garkin knew he didn't have much time before he true intentions were
discovered. He could keep them confused at best, but that was all.
These were his thoughts as a dark figure entered the room: The Guildmaster
of the Chaotic Lords. The OverLord of Marghuul. Kojin. Garkin knelt
before him, as was expected to do before the right hand of one's god. The
two had been speaking quietly for some time now, preparing for the war to
come. In that time, Garkin had been enchanting weapons for other Chaotic
Lords. The two quietly waited as the temple of Marghuul filled with the
followers of Chaos: Mawbo, Dana, Huck, Balzac, Ganelon.
Garkin rose before them and pledged his undying allegience to his liege,
Marghuul. As he did so, his blue robes of the Enchanter guild slowly
turned black. Garkin smiled wickedly as his Guildmaster symbol morphed
into the ancient glyphs representing a High Enchanter of Marghuul. Garkin
raised the Guildmaster Weapon, the ancient staff of Mycra, the first
Enchanter, and brought it down apon his knee with a mighty CRACK, breaking
it in twain and causing the energies within it to disperse.
The DemiUrge shouted to all throughout the Realm that the Enchanter Guild
Items were destroyed! The Enchanter Guild was without leadership!
Garkin told the tale of the experiment to the soldiers of chaos. He
explained the stutter..And the resulting explosion. He then told a story
that only Kojin and Malhavoc had heard to this point: Contrary to what
Garkin had told others, his experiment suceeded! Except Garkin Gnoll had
not created a rune of temporal transport.....but a rune of SUMMONING.
He summoned another Garkin from another time, another Shadowrealm. A much
darker shadowrealm where Marghuul had beaten Celeborn and ruled all. That
Garkin stood before them this eve. That Garkin would take them to war.
